What he discovered was what occurs within the virtual world of WOW, impacts a persons everyday life outside of the game. Social relations formed during the game are very real.  Players choose what is important to them and that ultimately affects those they have communication with, allowing everyone to partake in reaching desired goals.  He was surprised at how much players were willing to work together and how everyone truly functioned as a community.

Overall the game is a positive experience and can actually help to build social skills.   The game also helps to build useful skills for everyday life and the workforce, like leadership and the ability to handle conflicts.

Rift has cvome out this month and it has brought a whole new look to the common MMORPG. Rift almost seems like just another clone of WoW but thats not the case.
